Seattle Boat Show Sails Into Second Week on the Heels of Big Opening Weekend

The crowds were out in force on opening weekend of the 63rd Annual Big Seattle Boat Show

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) February 1, 2010

Opening weekend at the BIG Seattle Boat Show (http://www.seattleboatshow.com ) proved that boating is alive and well in the Pacific Northwest. The aisles and docks were jammed with crowds, and early reports from dealers and brokers at both locations, indoors and afloat, indicate that the tide is turning. Boaters and boat buyers are back. The show continues through Saturday February 6th, and week two is full of special promotions. Seasoned showgoers know that weekdays and weeknights are the best time to visit the show. It’s not as crowded, making browsing easier, and exhibitors and dealers have more time to chat. This year there’s an extra incentive to attend the show after work. Show organizers have created a series of special weekday and weeknight promotions.

After 5pm at Qwest Field, Monday – Thursday

Attendees can buy a ticket at the Qwest Field box office for only $ 8 (that’s $ 4 off) starting at 5 pm on Monday through Thursday, and then enjoy guest appearances, giveaways and promotions each evening.

Boater’s Happy Hour All Day Every Day at South Lake Union

Also there and available for tours is the 57′ Nordhavn Bagan that took Emmy award-winning documentary film maker Sprague Theobald on an exciting passage across the Arctic. The boat is open for tours and cast and crew are there to answer questions about the epic journey — the good, the bad and the frozen — and hand out free DVDs of unreleased footage of the journey.

Promotions at the lake include the chance to win a pair of round-trip tickets to the San Juan Islands aboard Kenmore Air. A pair of tickets will be awarded every day of the boat show. And a boat show wristband entitles showgoers to a free appetizer from the following Lake Union restaurants: Chandler’s Crabhouse, Daniel’s Broiler and Joey’s.
